Relief for New Orleans Refugees

There is a lot going on in my home town, Toccoa, Georgia. Its a small town preparing to do the biggest thing Toccoa has ever done before. The US Army and Red Cross are bringing 700+ people up from New Orleans, LA.

Dr. J. Robert White, C.E.O.(left) of the Georgia Baptist Convention has encouraged the Georgia Baptist Conference Center to cancel all conferences and retreats scheduled for the next few weeks in order to feed, and house the people of New Orleans.

My dad, who is the Food Service Manager at the GBCC, said that they will be handing out water, and clothes, and all kind of stuff. The other amazing thing, is that each day they will have 2 services, one in the morning and one at night. Each time the gospel will be presented, and these people will be able to hear the Gospel, and I hope that many come to know Christ through this effort.

We are commanded to love, and serve, and care for those who are in need. This is an amazing time to help those who are in need because of the hurricane.

Please pray for the victims and their families, and please pray for Tina Marie Deliberto. She is the sister of a lady at my church. She has been unable to locate her or know where she is or if she is ok.
